New Year Resolutions: How to keep it

Happy New Year! I still can't believe it's already 2021! And what does New Year mean to you? New Year - New Me? New Year Resolution? New start? Is it going to be YOUR year?

Whatever it is today's post will be all about New Year resolutions. New Year is perfect to set up some goals of yours. Honestly, I feel like any start of the month would work perfectly but January 1st is even bigger. So my first question is: WHAT'S YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTION THIS YEAR?

My goal for this year is to workout everyday. I've started working out daily a few years ago and it lasted for a few months, then I stopped. Last year (well.. in November & December 2019 and January 2020) I've gained weight and I was really unhappy about my body. That's the time when I started to count my calories, work out daily and eat healthy - and I lost about nearly 8kg. (more info, how I did that, tips, etc. in some other post, I'm currently working on it). Well, what I've wanted to share was that I've started to LOVE working out, eat healthy (and I didn't counted my intake calories after a few months). I was satisfied with myself..

Of course, Christmas time came and I didn't worked out for like 2 weeks at all (just some walks), ate too much unhealthy food and sweets...and...I've gained weight again. So my goal this year is to workout daily and eat more healthy than unhealthy food. And...to loose those extra kilos again!

And how to stay motivated? I guess it's different for everyone but some tips that might work for you and that are definitely worth to give it a try are:

- workout daily (NO rest days - even it you'll workout just for a few minutes some days)

- write it down (if you'll write down what you've done it will keep you more motivated - for example I've wrote my workouts with burnt calories, my intake calories and water that I've drank daily)

- find someone with the same goal (maybe you're the kind of a person who is ok to workout daily alone but I've always found it easier if my boyfriend joined me for a workout - even if it's not on a daily basis it's much better, easier and you'll stay motivated)

- listen to some music (life is better with your favourite music on! There's even many different workout mix music videos on YouTube - just choose your favourite one :-) )

- put away your electronics devices (mobile phones especially - sometimes I do this too and actually checking your mobile while working out will slow you down, you won't be concentrated at all, etc.)

Good luck!
